Unfortunately when carpet becomes saturated with urine it will often destroy the latex. The more filler in that latex the quicker it will become destroyed and the same is true about water damaged carpet. Most every carpet manufacturer excludes urine damage and water damage. Cleaning a carpet is not the same as urine that remains in the latex or carpet that remains under water for an extended period of time due to flooding. With flooded carpet you do have an opportunity to save that carpet by rapidly extracting the water and quick drying. Quick drying is usually accomplished through the use of fans and dehumidification. Still, the carpets warranty will usually become void even though the carpet may have dried out just fine.

What I am reading tells me that if a dog or cat urinates on a carpet it is destroyed and my fault. Also, that I can not clean carpet because if it gets wet then it is my fault that it is falling apart. I am 53 years old and have had animals all my life and they have had accidents and I never had carpet fall apart until now. I also know 2 people that have had floods in their house from appliances and their carpet never fell apart. My carpet was 2 months old when it started delaminating or at least when it became visible. I agree that it may be water or urine damage, but not in this short a period of time and it is also happening in areas where there is no urine.
